Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - HPC & GPU Infrastructure to design, develop, and optimize high-performance computing and GPU clusters supporting Intelligence Community customers. This is a 100% on-site position at the customer site in Bethesda, Maryland.

You will install, configure, and maintain GPU/HPC hardware, analyze performance, manage workload schedulers such as Slurm and Kubernetes, and contribute to Linux-based testing, documentation, and ongoing optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating Linux-based systems and hardware for HPC/GPU workloads.
• Familiarity with GPU virtualization and cloud deployments is a plus.
• Knowledge of DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II/III certifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain GPU and HPC hardware on-premises and in the cloud.
• Analyze HPC/GPU performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize applications on Linux.
• Install and manage job-scheduling/workload-management platforms (Slurm, PBS, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes).
• Apply power-management techniques to optimize GPU power usage on Linux.
• Design and execute Linux-based GPU tests, run stress tests, benchmarking, and debugging.
• Maintain architectural & code documentation and Linux best practices for GPU development.
• Monitor GPU industry trends and propose Linux-specific optimization approaches.
