Job summary

Engility is seeking a seasoned programmer and data analyst to generate source code across languages from requirements and to compile/debug for Windows, Linux, MATLAB, and LabVIEW. The role emphasizes parallelization of software for HPC, robust documentation, and data handling across multidisciplinary projects in support of national missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related field.
• 5+ years in programming, data analysis, or engineering in a research lab.
• Proficient in C, C++, Python, Java, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Mathematica.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills in C++, MATLAB, and Java.
• Experience with parallelization: MPI, SHMEM, OpenMPI, PGAS (UPC/Coarray FORTRAN).
• Familiar with debuggers TotalView and DDT and profiling with CrayPat.
• Proficiency with LabVIEW, MATLAB, PuTTy, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate original source code from formulas, pseudo code, and requirements.
• Compile and debug across Windows, Linux, MATLAB, and LabVIEW environments.
• Parallelize software for HPC systems.
• Document code and prepare user manuals.
• Prepare program overviews and responses to inquiries from management.
• Provide weekly reports on findings and support internal/external research projects.
• Monitor safety, security, and environment aspects of the program.
