Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior System Engineer to design, implement and test rack-scale server solutions for data centers and enterprise customers. You will lead hardware and software validation, HPC/AI benchmarks, automation tools, and on-site deployment, collaborating with product and engineering teams.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, ensure reliability, and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-growing market.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• 8+ years server/network/storage hardware config, testing, debugging.
• 8+ years in DevOps or cloud environments (Docker/Containers and Kubernetes).
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP and other protocols.
• Familiar with HPC/AI or Cloud benchmark tests, networking architecture.
• Excellent programming skills in Python and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Rack/Cluster infrastructure and perform system-level testing.
• Lead PoC design and testing; optimize HPC/AI benchmarks.
• Lead day-to-day ops for Cluster, Storage, HPC and Cloud infra.
• Write test procedures, reports and troubleshooting guides.
• Deliver on-site deployment services for customer acceptance.
• Write automation tools for cluster deployment and test environment.
