Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Network Engineer to deploy and maintain business-critical applications and services. You will resolve escalated issues and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize HPC/AI workloads.

The role requires strong Linux networking and hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes, plus familiarity with AI frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow. On-site deployments and customer interaction may be required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of work-related experience in Deep Learning and Machine Learning.
• 5+ years of Linux/networking debugging/testing or relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX).
• Experience with DevOps or cloud environments (Docker/Containers, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on with workload/scheduler managers (Slurm).
• Familiar with MLPerf Training/Inference benchmarks, LLM, RCCL/NCCL.
• Programming experience with Windows and Linux shell scripting.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Familiar with CUDA, oneAPI, ROCm; CCNA/OpenStack/OpenShift/AWS/Azure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive system-level rack tests on GPUs and CPUs across diverse processors.
• Deliver HPC/AI benchmarks and training demonstrations; address customer issues.
• Conduct POC design and testing; optimize BIOS, OS/network settings, and simulations.
• Provide on-site deployment services and post-level 1/2 support; document tech notes.
• Identify hardware/software quality issues; relay feedback to Product/Engineering.
• Contribute to HPC roadmap and hardware/software upgrades for performance.
• Develop test plans, reports, logs; aid in automating tests and utilities.
