Qualifications

• Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 10-12+ years of experience in HPC engineering, scientific computing, bioinformatics platforms, or advanced research infrastructure.
• Strong expertise with Linux environments, HPC schedulers, parallel computing, GPUs, and large-scale storage systems.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to scientists, engineers, and program stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, optimization, and evolution of FDA HPC ecosystems.
• Provide technical leadership across HPC clusters, storage, applications, cloud/HPC hybrid environments, and performance engineering.
• Guide modernization and future-state HPC strategies.
• Support genomics, bioinformatics pipelines, modeling, simulation, AI/ML workflows.
• Prepare technical documentation and engineering recommendations.
