Job summary

Community Housing Innovations, Inc. (CHI) is seeking a Housing Supervisor to oversee the review and submission of housing packets for HOME, CAPS, CurRENT, and other DHS programs.

You will supervise a team of housing specialists, employment specialists, recreation specialists, and entitlement specialists in Eastchester Bronx NY. The role requires knowledge of DHS-CARES, with a Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Friday 9am-5pm schedule and Wednesday 11am-7pm; salary is $66,300 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Must have at least two years’ experience in homelessness or housing and at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience with NYC housing resources and NYC/ NY State agencies and programs facilitating permanent housing goals.

Responsibilities

• Review and ensure accuracy of housing packets for submission to DHS programs.
• Conduct 1-to-1 and group meetings with team; update performance goals and feedback in Paycom.
• Develop and maintain relationships with governmental agencies and community partners.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient service delivery to clients.
• Monitor program compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide training for team members.
• Lead team meetings to discuss updates, challenges and best practices.
• Assist in policy development and program procedures.
• Participate in strategic planning to improve outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Manage workshops and outreach programs.
• Attend housing meetings, trainings and DHS events.
