Job summary

Community Housing Innovations, Inc. in New York is seeking a Housing Supervisor to oversee the review and submission of housing packets for the CURRENT and DHS programs, with strong knowledge of DHS-CARES.

You will supervise a team of housing specialists, employment specialists, recreation specialists, and entitlement specialists to ensure efficient service delivery and program compliance. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in human services, 2+ years in housing, and at least 1 year in a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Must have at least two years’ experience in housing/homelessness or related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role.
• English proficiency; bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Experience with NYC housing resources and agencies facilitating permanent housing goals.

Responsibilities

• Review and ensure accuracy of housing packets for submission to HOME, CAPS, CurRENT, Rental Supplement Unit and other DHS programs.
• Conduct 1-to-1 and group meetings; update goals, notes and feedback in Paycom regularly.
• Develop and maintain relationships with governmental agencies and community partners.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient service delivery to clients.
• Monitor program compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Lead performance evaluations and provide ongoing training.
• Lead team meetings; discuss updates, challenges, best practices.
• Assist in policy/procedure development and implementation.
• Support strategic planning to improve outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Manage workshops and outreach programs.
• Attend housing meetings and trainings at/by DHS.
• Maintain charts and housing paperwork in order.
