Job summary

Impact NW seeks a Housing Specialist III to deliver advanced, community-based social work services for individuals and families facing chronic homelessness. You will coordinate outreach, advocacy, and support using a Housing First framework, serving clients in Multnomah County and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities include screening, intake, case management, landlord negotiations, and coordinating with healthcare, mental health and social services partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful housing navigation experience.
• Bilingual Russian required for this position.
• Experience with HMIS and agency/funder data systems required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced knowledge of program requirements, eligibility, enrollment standards, and funder definitions.
• Conduct screening, intake, and referral of requests for service.
• Manage a caseload with high-acuity and complex cases requiring problem-solving and landlord negotiation.
• Provide trauma-informed, client-centered engagement and case management using Housing First principles.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary service providers to support holistic client stability.
• Prepare for audits, monitoring visits, and ensure timely documentation and reports.
