Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in related field; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in housing development or related field.
• Proven ability to take project ideas to completion and solve problems.
• Experience preparing proposals for philanthropy, government grants, private loans, and investor consideration.
• Ability to build cooperative working relationships with team members, local government agencies, consultants, lenders/investors, and community stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical skills; proficient in Excel and Word.
• Entrepreneurial and creative approach to real estate development; team spirit.
• Commitment to ACTION-Housing's mission to build affordable homes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of multi-family and mixed-use projects from predevelopment to financing and construction.
• Coordinate financing: identify funding sources and secure loans; financing development.
• Manage construction: contract negotiation, site meetings, compliance, and permitting.
• Transition to operations with property management for leasing.
• Identify funding opportunities and apply for resources.
• Oversee early-years financial performance of real estate.
• Maintain relationships with officials, banks, foundations and partners.
