Job summary

Community Economic Defense Project is seeking a Senior Housing Compliance Manager to oversee housing subsidy programs under DOH and HUD requirements. You will supervise Housing Coordinators, conduct audits, and ensure compliance while maintaining a focus on anti-oppressive, trauma-informed practices.

The role requires residence in Colorado and involves collaboration with case managers and external partners.

Qualifications

1+ year supervisory/managerial experience in housing programs.
Certified as an HCV Specialist.
Ability to read/interpret complex HUD rules and apply to agency policies.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Aware of trauma-informed, anti-oppressive approaches.

Responsibilities

Supervises Housing Coordinators and interprets HUD rules for housing programs.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations.
Manages housing subsidy programs and optimizes housing resources.
Leads audits and corrective action plans for compliance.
Develops training materials and manuals for Housing Coordinators.
Supports orientations, inspections, leases, and re-certifications while maintaining caseloads.
