Job summary

Sunridge Assisted Living of Roy in Roy, UT is seeking a dedicated housekeeping/maintenance assistant to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and basic upkeep of the community. You will protect resident rights and privacy while meeting high cleanliness and hygiene standards.

The role requires effective communication with residents, families, and staff, a willingness to work with the elderly, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. TB test and a positive service attitude are expected.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates.
• Willingness to work with the elderly
• Must provide written proof of recent TB test or obtain within two weeks of date of hire
• Must be positive and deliver a WOW experience through service
• Performs unpleasant tasks with grace; works cooperatively with supervisors and displays willingness to assist co-workers
• Exposure to blood/bodily fluids is likely.
• Has ability to do occasional heavy lifting of (up to 40 lbs.).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the dignity and privacy of all residents. Protect all resident rights.
• Report any concerns with the health and well-being of the residents to the Resident Care Coordinator, Nurse, or Administrator.
• Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
• Meet or exceed, the standards of appearance; comply with the sanitation rules, hygiene and health standards of community personnel.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the home.
• Wash, dry, and return all resident linens and clothing.
• Empty garbage and change linen according to schedule.
• Secure chemicals. Make sure residents do not have access to them.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
