Job summary

Sunridge Assisted Living of Roy is seeking a dedicated dietary services aide to serve meals and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas in accordance with state rules.

You will work under the Dietary Services Director to uphold safety, quality, and compassion for residents, including assisting with meal service, sanitation, and timely setup and cleanup. A current Food Handler's Permit is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Food Handler's Permit.
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates.
• Must provide written proof of TB test or obtain within two weeks of hire date.
• Positive attitude with a WOW experience through service.
• Willingness to work with the elderly and assist coworkers.
• Exposure to blood or bodily fluids is likely.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Serves all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the direction of the Dietary Services Director.
• Maintaining kitchen sanitation and safety standards under the direction of the Dietary Services Director.
• Assists in serving meals to residents within an assisted living community and maintains kitchen cleanliness.
• Setting up and taking down the dining areas.
• Follows sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Reports concerns about residents' health and well-being to the Resident Care Coordinator or Nurse.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information at all times.
• Meets appearance standards and complies with sanitation and health rules.
• Serves meals in a dignified and nutritious manner.
• Assists with putting away and organizing weekly orders.
• Keeps the kitchen and dining room clean and organized.
• Ensures cleanliness meets Dietary Manager's specifications and state regulations.
• Performs other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Must be willing to work holidays and weekends.
