Job summary

The Park Central New York Hotel, part of Highgate Hotels, seeks a Director of Operations to drive profitability through revenue growth, cost control and staff development. You will oversee front office and F&B operations, train managers, manage budgets, and ensure exceptional guest experiences across departments.

Candidates should have 6+ years of progressive hotel leadership experience, the ability to lead multiple departments, and strong communication and financial skills to sustain Highgate's

Qualifications

• At least 6 years progressive hotel or related experience.
• Long hours may be required.
• Strong verbal and written communication with all staff levels.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reviews.

Responsibilities

• Focus on front office operation, including training, scheduling, daily duties.
• Tour operating departments, daily making adjustments as needed via department heads.
• Conduct weekly staff meetings, including weekly training sessions.
• Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion.
• Oversee and assist in the Highgate Hotel’s budget process as required.
• Develop managers for future advancement through competency training and corporate sponsored training programs.
• Ensure that training in service standards is taking place in each department using the steps to effective training according to Highgate Hotel standards.
• Assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment which focuses on the guest, through employee development and motivation.
