Highgate Hotels is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager in San Francisco to lead the hotel’s financial operations and reporting. You will guide management on profitability, internal controls, and compliance with regulations while safeguarding assets.

Responsibilities include cash flow management, budgeting, variance analysis, audits, and staff development. The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and leadership in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of related progressive experience in hotel accounting or related field.
• Must be proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing, and in the operation of all hotel-specific systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with staff at all levels.
• Multitask effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial statements for the property, including cash flow statements and timely deposits of funds.
• Monitor hotel revenues and expenses and ensure accurate recording per established guidelines.
• Create annual budgets and perform monthly variance analyses; propose improvement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses, leases, contracts, and operational taxes.
• Hire, train, supervise and develop staff; maintain compliance with standards.
