Job summary

Fairmont Austin, a luxury hotel in downtown Austin, is seeking a seasoned Engineering professional to join our Engineering Department on a swing shift. You will supervise and coordinate a team of technicians, perform mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks, and uphold Fairmont standards of guest service and safety.

The role requires 10+ years in building engineering or 5+ years in hotel engineering supervision, strong planning skills, and the ability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as commercial building engineer or 5+ years in hotel engineering supervision.
• Multi-skills technician with knowledge of MEP and low voltage.
• Experience responding to emergencies and fire alarm systems.
• Strong planning, organization and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, engaging service and ensure guest requests are met promptly.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and painting tasks; assist engineering manager daily.
• Keep detailed logs and maintain safety standards per Health & Safety Program.
• Supervise technicians on duty and coordinate daily engineering activities.
