Embassy Suites Austin is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee hotel facilities, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. You will enforce safety standards, manage maintenance staff, and coordinate with vendors to keep the property in top condition.

Qualifications

• 2 years: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; two years of college or vocational training in electrical or mechanical engineering or plumbing plus six years of work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services for a hotel or hotels.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Ensure all fire and safety inspections are completed and discrepancies corrected.
• Responsible for safety of the department and building.
• Administer preventative maintenance program and complete work orders on time.
• Complete safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines training; train coworkers as required.
• Maintain a professional image through appearance and dress.
• Meet with vendors to discuss scope, products and materials used in repair activities.
• Obtain pricing, bids, or develop cost estimates as directed.
• Supervise and assist engineering staff in maintaining and repairing systems and equipment.
• Manage or assist in hiring, training, and evaluations for maintenance staff.
• Perform skilled repair and maintenance using tools and equipment.
• Monitor tool inventories and supplies; place orders with approved vendors.
• Maintain clean and safe working spaces.
• Note: other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
