Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a hotel maintenance engineer; supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment critical to hotel operations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to enforce hotel standards and procedures with staff.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals and maintaining safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Be available for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Delegate daily work assignments and review priorities.
• Schedule and perform maintenance per preventive program.
• Ensure safety equipment is compliant and inspections completed.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff.
• Manage department budget and resource planning.
• Lead safety committee activities and report on safety improvements.
• Oversee repairs of heating, ventilation, refrigeration and mechanical systems.
