Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer for the Hershey area to keep our Hampton Inn Hershey Near the Park running safely and smoothly. This on-site, full-time role supports guest comfort by maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, and general building systems with a strong customer-service mindset.

The position requires at least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hotels, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of maintenance experience; hotel experience preferred.
Experience with commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize work and provide excellent customer service.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and building systems.
Troubleshoot and maintain commercial refrigeration, ice machines, air handling units, and HVAC equipment.
Complete general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and help ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Follow maintenance schedules and safety procedures.
Assist with inventory and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
