Job summary

HHM Hotels seeks a Complex Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance across multiple properties in New York, ensuring building integrity and guest comfort.

Lead engineering staff, coordinate vendor contracts, manage projects and preventative maintenance, conduct inspections, and uphold HHM sustainability and safety standards.

This senior role requires strong leadership, a preventive mindset, and the ability to balance operational needs with guest satisfaction and brand requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or trade school coursework in a related field.
• Experience as an engineer/maintenance leader in a hotel is preferred.
• Ability to supervise and develop engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure HHM standards and guest service.
• Coordinate bids, quotes and contracts with external vendors.
• Manage in-house maintenance projects and preventative maintenance programs.
• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair electrical fixtures and life safety systems.
• Oversee painting, carpentry, plumbing and HVAC maintenance.
• Maintain records of PMs and ensure compliance with codes.
• Support sustainability initiatives under EarthView program.
