Job summary

Bottling Department is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead engineering operations for a luxury hotel property in San Antonio. The role oversees HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, driving preventative maintenance and capital projects while ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Seven years of progressive engineering or facilities management experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Three years minimum managing engineering, maintenance, or facilities personnel.
• Experience in luxury hotel, resort, full-service hospitality, or lifestyle hospitality.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, life safety, and building automation systems.
• Experience developing preventative maintenance programs and managing capital projects.
• Strong financial acumen with departmental budgets and long-term asset planning.
• Certifications such as CFM, FMP, or CMRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation, maintenance, repair, and optimization of all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, life safety, building automation).
• Develop and refine preventative maintenance programs to maximise asset life and minimize downtime.
• Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and improve reliability and guest comfort.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for equipment failures and facility emergencies.
• Oversee work orders, maintenance records, inspections, and documentation for compliance.
