Job summary

Arbor Lodging is seeking a Chief Engineer for the Homewood Suites by Hilton Champaign Urbana. You will oversee maintenance operations, ensure guest comfort, and drive cost control and profitability across the hotel’s systems.

Responsibilities include leading the maintenance team, scheduling work, coordinating with guests and departments, and maintaining HVAC, safety, and energy programs to hotel standards. A related degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• BA or college degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5 years maintenance experience or 3 years supervisory in a hotel environment.
• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations to maximize guest satisfaction and cost control.
• Represent engineering in daily meetings and lead the department staff scheduling and supervision.
• Maintain HVAC, DG sets, water treatment, fire safety, and plant equipment to hotel standards.
• Keep thorough records of repairs, service, and equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Develop energy conservation programs and staff training on supplies and procedures.
