Job summary

Hampton Inn Miami Coconut Grove Hotel is seeking a skilled Chief Engineer to lead our small facilities team and hands-on resolve issues across hotel systems. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, while planning preventive maintenance and coordinating with inspectors to ensure code compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and a proven ability to work independently and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a maintenance role involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to lead and mentor facilities staff in a respectful manner.
• Self-directed and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing malfunctioning electrical and mechanical systems.
• Prioritize and schedule work orders based on maintenance problems.
• Inspect property and plan preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with inspectors to ensure compliance with codes.
• Recruit, mentor, train, and support facilities staff.
