Highgate Hotels in Las Vegas seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee daily operations of the hotel’s engineering division. In the absence of the Director, the assistant will handle administrative, financial, and operating aspects related to engineering.

You will ensure plans for property maintenance, asset protection, and regulatory compliance are executed, while supervising engineering staff and managing budgets.

Qualifications

• Progressive facilities management experience required (hotel or related field).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Stationary Engineer’s license if required by local code.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy work – up to 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently.

Responsabilités

• Assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and assets.
• Ensure the hotel is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in Customer Service, Empowerment, SOPs and Loss Prevention.
• Create and post all Engineering staff schedules.
• Create and adhere to annual budget for department.
• Assist in developing financial forecasts and participate in monthly profit/loss reviews.
• Create and implement preventative maintenance program for all hotel equipment.
• Ensure emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested and certified.
• Participate in energy conservation programs and review guest feedback to address issues.
• Assist with vendor contracts and room maintenance requests as needed.
• Support hotel programs and participate in Safety Committee.
