Job summary

The Office of Information Technology in Augusta, Maine, seeks a technically skilled professional to serve as the hosting and Windows Server expert. You will handle day-to-day operations across AWS, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Power Platform, Microsoft Exchange, and 365 administration, ensuring secure, compliant server environments.

Responsibilities include leading troubleshooting, performing upgrades, drafting SOPs, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience administering AWS and SharePoint.
• Experience with Windows Server 2008-2022 operating systems; installing, configuring, administering and maintaining.
• Experience with VMware and IIS.
• Experience implementing, administering and maintaining Group Policy Objects.
• Knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect and AD Federated Services.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and networking protocols.
• Ability to document features, specifications, and infrastructure requirements clearly.
• Ability to work in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier-3 support for AWS, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Power Platform, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365 Administration, IIS, Windows Server in an enterprise environment.
• Oversee, install, diagnose, maintain and administer Windows Server systems.
• Respond to help desk escalations and perform hardware/software upgrades.
• Provide technical recommendations to Deputy Director and Director of Computing Infrastructure & Services.
• Plan and execute growth and expansion; act as technical resource to internal programmers and vendors.
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and documentation.
• Support enterprise hosting environments (physical/virtual) and participate in on-call rotation.
