Job summary

M3 is a leading provider of hospitality-specific software solutions, delivering cloud-based tools for hotel accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and business intelligence. The Senior Accountant will handle accounting for multiple hotels daily, delivering accurate and timely data to the client’s corporate staff with minimal supervision.

Duties include bank reconciliations, journal entries, payroll reviews, month-end financial statements, and tax returns.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of experience in a directly related accounting position.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with Dynamics GP, QuickBooks or Peachtree preferred.
• Hospitality or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily bank reconciliation of accounts with complex transactions.
• Review daily or monthly journal entries.
• Review payroll journal entries.
• Review accounts payable for coding accuracy.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Prepare and file sales, use, and occupancy tax returns.
• Assist in staff accountant training as needed.
• Coordinate with clients to compile month-end questions.
• Post monthly recurring entries.
• Monthly reconciliation of asset and liability accounts.
• Assist in annual financial closing processes.
• Support supervisor with period-end reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.
