Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to rotate through all applicable work assignments under supervision of a Pharmacist and the Pharmacy Technician Group Leader. You will assist with medication preparation, packaging, and data entry across multiple pharmacy systems while ensuring accurate patient information and payments.

Responsibilities include inventory management, quality assurance, medication safety initiatives, and supporting delivery of prescriptions.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent; college preferred.
Must hold current unrestricted Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician licensure.
Must possess or sit for National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) within 12 months of hire.
Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office; comfortable with multiple pharmacy system applications.

Responsibilities

Know and follow Brown University Health compliance program and Code of Conduct.
Provide friendly, customer-focused service and respond to cost/availability questions.
Enter patient data into pharmacy systems to ensure accurate charging and insurance processing.
Assist in resolving patient questions and referrals to the pharmacist on duty.
Rotate to all applicable work assignments as needed by the business.
