Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is looking for a Senior Cook to prepare and serve a la carte hot food menu items and baked goods for patients, staff, and visitors. With a focus on excellence, the cook will demonstrate high standards of service and promote a culture of safety.

All candidates should have at least 3 years of culinary experience, a flexible working schedule, and a high school diploma. Advanced culinary training is preferred. Join us in making a difference in the community!

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Advanced culinary training from a vocational/technical school or culinary college preferred.
• Completion of Sanitation Certification Course or ServSafe Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional culinary experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation by recipe required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality a la carte hot food menu items and baked goods.
• Exhibit Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards.
• Promote a Culture of Safety and adhere to policies.
• Serve meals to patients and staff following portioning guidelines.
• Perform baking functions from production schedule.
