Job summary
University Hospital in Newark, NJ seeks a Senior Hospital Applications Analyst to analyze, design, develop, implement, and support enterprise reporting and analytics across clinical, operational, and financial data.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specs, building reliable, scalable data solutions and dashboards while ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related or related field is preferred.
- 3 years of information systems experience, preferably in patient care.
- Certification on an Epic application within 6 months of training is required.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data warehouses.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain reports, dashboards, datasets, and data extracts.
- Automate processes and improve reporting efficiency through scripting and programming.
- Evaluate current reports and processes to identify standardization and optimization opportunities.
- Create technical specifications and documentation to support development and maintenance.
