Job summary

Affinity Health Management is seeking a Hospice Medical Director to provide overall medical direction for the hospice program, guiding the interdisciplinary team and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The role includes serving as a medical resource to physicians, championing the program in the community, and participating in quality improvement and education initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed MD/DO to practice medicine in the state.
• Board certification in hospice/palliative care preferred.
• Experience in hospice or palliative care settings.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall medical direction to the hospice program.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation and other regulations.
• Oversee physician services and education for staff and volunteers.
• Represent the hospice program to physicians, discharge planners and referral sources.
• Participate in QAPI and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain continuous physician coverage and support the Interdisciplinary Group.
