Job summary

Affinity Hospice Management LLC seeks an experienced Medical Director to provide overall medical direction for the hospice program in Florida. You will oversee physician services, lead the interdisciplinary group and guide QAPI initiatives to improve patient care.

You will ensure compliance with Medicare participation requirements, support education for physicians and staff, and advocate for the program in the community.

Qualifications

• Licensed Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy in Florida with an unrestricted license.
• Active DEA registration and controlled substances authority.
• Experience in hospice/palliative care; board certification preferred.
• Commitment to ongoing medical education.
• Not excluded from Medicare/Medicaid.
• 1+ year healthcare experience; hospice knowledge and pain management.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Driver with insured vehicle.
• Knowledge of CHAP standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall medical direction for the hospice program.
• Oversee physician services and quality improvement programs; participate in QAPI.
• Lead interdisciplinary group meetings; ensure care plans are current and compliant.
• Ensure adherence to Medicare Conditions of Participation and other regulations.
• Represent the hospice to physicians, planners, and community partners.
