Hippo is seeking a Senior Homeowners Underwriter – Hippo Plus to manage the full underwriting lifecycle for homeowner risks, including endorsements and non-renewals, guided by inspections, loss trends, and market intelligence.

You will partner with sales, claims, customer support, and product teams to surface patterns and refine underwriting guidelines while driving the product evolution of Hippo Plus in a fast-paced, pilot-focused environment.

Formación

• 4+ years of P&C homeowners underwriting experience with ability to interpret guidelines and trends.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and data-synthesis skills across inspections, claims, and agent feedback.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite new and renewal homeowners’ risks and document insights for product development.
• Analyze risk information and recommend inspections and loss-prevention actions.
• Evaluate endorsements, reinstatements, cancellations, and non-renewals per guidelines.
• Synthesize feedback to identify patterns, gaps, and guideline improvements.
• Propose updates to underwriting guidelines and loss-prevention thresholds.
• Address queries from claims, billing, customer support, and product teams within authority.
• Communicate market intelligence to distribution partners and leadership.
• Document observations and recommendations to support product strategy.
