Job summary

Hippo Insurance is seeking a Property Underwriter to evaluate homeowners' policy eligibility across multiple markets in a hybrid environment. You will apply underwriting guidelines, assess risk, and collaborate with claims, billing, and support teams to ensure accurate decisions.

We require 2+ years in P&C Homeowners underwriting, a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business, and strong analytical skills. CA/TX market experience and wildfire underwriting are strongly preferred, with a focus on

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in P&C Homeowners underwriting.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal homeowners' line of business.
• Analyze risk information and recommend inspections or loss prevention as needed.
• Address queries from claims, billing, and customer support; act within authority.
• Communicate with distribution partners and leadership to resolve matters.
• Suggest improvements to underwriting processes and tools.
