Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Field Adjuster for Homeowner Claims in New Jersey. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle homeowner claims, often in the field, with opportunities to progress to Level 5 competency. Travel to sites and coordination of independent adjusters may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years claims experience with emphasis on homeowner claims.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree may substitute 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of homeowner policies and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years field experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record required loss information from the insured.
• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle homeowners’ claims; may include field inspections.
• Own the claims assigned at Field Adjuster level.
• Progress to Level 5 Homeowner Adjuster competency.
• May coordinate independent adjuster assignments and supervise as needed.
• Investigate and evaluate property loss claims of moderate-high severity in field or virtually.
• Photograph and inspect damaged property with insured or third parties.
• Ensure cause analysis is thorough and regulatory compliant.
