Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Senior Medical Equipment Technician to safely deliver and set up home medical equipment in patients' homes or long-term care settings. Responsibilities include educating patients on equipment use, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

The role requires driving to service areas, lifting heavy equipment, and on-call duties as needed. Prior HME delivery experience and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• One year of HME delivery experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years’ experience in HME delivering and setting up medical equipment in patient homes.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services and regulations.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Manage territory to reach service goals and deliver equipment including oxygen as required.
• Educate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in home settings.
• Complete patient visit reports after setup and follow-up visits.
• Assist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
• Process orders in a timely, accurate manner.
• Promote services and products to referral sources.
• Maintain reimbursement documentation for equipment and services.
• Support quality improvement programs and PPE/hazard handling procedures.
• Maintain home oxygen systems and drive company vehicle as needed.
• Perform patient assessments and routine maintenance on equipment.
