AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to support patients at home, clinics, and other sites. You will deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and home medical equipment while educating patients and caregivers for safe, independent use.

The role emphasizes knowledge of HME products, patient assessments, and compliance with HIPAA. Daily field visits, on-call rotation, and ongoing training are part of the job with a strong focus on quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician experience preferred; two years for senior level.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re assessments to support appropriate ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards, including proper use of PPE.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs; report equipment hazards or incidents as required.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing for equipment and services.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources, as appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with all company policies and compliance program requirements.
• Complete required compliance training and participate in on call rotation as scheduled.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
