Job summary

Citi in Stamford, CT seeks a Mortgage Lending Officer to originate high quality residential real estate loans and collaborate with branch partners and referral sources to grow the mortgage business.

You will assess customers’ financials, advise on suitable lending solutions, coordinate with processors and underwriters, and uphold Citi’s standards and compliance in a client‑facing, collaborative role. This full‑time position requires 5–8 years of experience and NMLS registration.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of residential mortgage experience.
• 1+ year sales/finance experience required.
• Ability to explain lending concepts clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about financial situations and lending needs to achieve home ownership goals.
• Collect and analyze information on financials, risk tolerance, income, assets and credit history.
• Assess whether customers and properties qualify for lending solutions and present recommendations.
• Coordinate with processors, underwriters and sales teams to close loans.
• Promote Citi’s lending services to real estate agents and referral sources.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and referral partners.
