Zusammenfassung

VetsEZ is seeking an HL7 Interoperability Architect for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project for VA OI&T. You will serve as SME in HL7 v2/v3, CDA/C-CDA and FHIR, guiding enterprise-level interoperability between VistA, COTS apps, and modern EHRs.

You will collaborate with VA technical teams, enterprise architects, and project leadership to ensure data exchange aligns with TRM and privacy/security requirements, operating in an Agile environment

Qualifikationen

• 8–10+ years IT experience with at least 5 years in healthcare interoperability and HL7 standards
• Expert-level knowledge of HL7 v2.x messaging and its clinical data exchange applications
• Extensive experience with HL7 FHIR R4/R5, CDA, and C-CDA implementations in interoperability solutions
• Strong experience designing enterprise integration architectures and working with interface engines (Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, InterSystems Ensemble)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaison between engineering, clinical stakeholders, architects and leadership

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise interoperability architectures for healthcare data exchange between VistA, COTS apps, and external partners
• Define and guide HL7 v2.x, HL7 v3, CDA/C-CDA, and FHIR standards implementations for secure, standardized data exchange
• Ensure interoperability solutions comply with VA TRM, One-VA EA, and federal privacy/security requirements including FIPS and VA Handbook 6500
• Support development of HL7 interfaces for TIU and other VistA modules for external system integration
• Lead development and coordination of architectural documentation (design patterns, CONOPs, interface specs, technical recommendations) with input on tasks, milestones, risks
• Collaborate with VA teams, enterprise architects, and project leadership in an Agile environment
