Job summary

Senior Histotechnologist position at Saint Francis Hospital in Connecticut within Trinity Health of New England. The role focuses on preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination, embedding, staining, and IHC to support accurate diagnoses.

You will ensure QA/QC and adherence to CLIA/CAP standards, while mentoring staff. Min 5 years histology experience with a NAACLS accredited program and HTL ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• BS in Biology or Chemistry with required coursework.
• Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician/Histotechnology program.
• HTL ASCP certification is required; IHC qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, embed, section, stain, and coverslip tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
• Accession, label, and maintain documentation for all samples and testing activities.
• Perform routine histology, special stains, and IHC procedures.
