Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Histology or a Chemical/ Biological science with 1+ years in a clinical lab or Histology certification program (min 9 months).
• Four years of clinical histology laboratory testing experience.
• HTL or HT ASCP licensing.

Responsibilities

• Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination.
• Prepare histology slides and perform immunohistochemical tests on tissue sections.
• Section tissue with a microtome and mount on slides.
• Maintain equipment and document quality control procedures.
• Document problems affecting test performance and implement corrective actions.
