Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) invites applications for a Histotechnologist II in their Pathology Lab. The role covers routine and special histology, embedding, microtomy, and IHC with attention to QC and safety.

You will prepare tissues, stains, and slides for microscopic review, and train staff while ensuring accurate data management. The position requires a strong background in histology, experience with CoPath software, and the ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment on a full-time

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Associates degree in clinical laboratory science or related health field.
High school diploma required; ASCP HT/HTL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and special paraffin sections for microscopic examination.
Prepare equipment for processing, embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting tissue.
Provide technical guidance to laboratory personnel as required.
Train other histology technicians on procedures and equipment.
Maintain logs and prepare reports on procedures.
