This senior, hands-on role requires two to three years of grossing experience, along with previous hands-on professional histology experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on grossing experience in clinical/diagnostic labs.
• Hands-on histology experience including processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, slide prep.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and prepare tissue specimens for histologic processing.
• Perform gross examinations per lab procedures and authorize specimens.
• Prepare and label cassettes with accurate traceability.
• Process tissue, embed, microtome, stain, and perform quality review on slides.
• Prepare slides for pathologist review and ensure specimen quality.
