Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in Richmond, VA is seeking a Project/Program Manager to market, develop, and manage comprehensive project objectives for highway/roadway projects and programs including development and management of scopes, schedules, and budgets.

The role involves coordinating with clients, leading teams, managing staff and subconsultants, and ensuring quality deliverables across multiple transportation projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
• Professional Engineer License.
• 15+ years’ experience in a specialized discipline.
• Recent knowledge of VDOT design criteria/manuals and Open Roads Designer and/or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor schedules, budgets, accounts receivable, and manpower requirements and direct preparation of invoices.
• Develop Project Management plans for assigned projects.
• Develops and manages scopes of service to meet client goals and needs.
• Establish project pricing and budgets.
• Create and maintain project schedules.
• Develop and maintain project specific quality plans.
• Manage subconsultants.
• Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Oversee and manage assigned staff working on project.
• Manage all technical resources on the project team.
• Assist with production tasks for client submittals and deliverables.
• Coordinate and assist with marketing proposals.
