Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a seasoned transportation project manager to develop and manage scopes, budgets, and schedules for highway programs. You will lead project teams, coordinate with clients, and guide marketing and proposals.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, QA, and pursuit of program opportunities while coordinating with subconsultants and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality design and construction docs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with VDOT design criteria/manuals and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop project management plans and scopes for highway/roadway projects.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and client communications including proposals.
• Lead teams and manage subconsultants on multiple projects.
• Coordinate marketing proposals and client presentations.
• Mentor staff and perform quality reviews of deliverables.
• Support business development and pursuit of transportation programs.
