Pennoni Associates in Philadelphia seeks a Senior Highway Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary highway projects for PennDOT District 6-0 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.

The role includes managing scope, schedule, and cost, developing SOIs and proposals, preparing QA plans, progress reports and invoices, and mentoring junior staff across Pennoni offices.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multidisciplinary highway projects for PennDOT District 6-0 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in PA is required.
• Experience developing Statements of Interest (SOI) and proposals for transportation entities in the Philadelphia region.
• Mentoring and developing staff across projects.

Job description

Pennoni Associates is currently looking for a Senior Highway Transportation Engineer/Project Manager with experience consistent, but not limited to:

• Project Manager for multidisciplinary projects with PennDOT District 6-0 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
• Engineering disciplines will include structural/bridge, traffic /ITS, stormwater management, utilities and more. Support highway design projects for PennDOT being executed in Pennoni offices throughout Pennsylvania.
• Support NJDOT and DelDOT projects as required.
• Responsible project performance including schedule, cost and management of the scope of work, delivering on-time and within budget performance.
• Preparation of supplements when scope and/or schedule change attributed to unforeseen conditions.
• Prepare and execute project specific quality management plans.
• Prepare and submit progress reports and invoices as the Project Manager.
• Mentor and develop staff.

Additional Required Attributes:

• Experience in the development of winning Statement of Interest (SOI) and proposals for PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and other transportation entities in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Region.
• Licenses required: Professional Engineer – PA

Preferred Attributes:

• Understanding of PA Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) regulation and permitting process.
• Active participant in the professional associations such as ASCE, ASHE, PSPE, TRB, AASHTO, IBTTA and others.
