Job summary

Pennoni in Philadelphia is seeking an experienced Project Highway Engineer to join our Transportation team. You will engage in highway design, stormwater and drainage, cost estimating, and report writing on transportation projects.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, 5–10 years of transportation experience, and a PE license, with proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D or MicroStation/Open Roads Designer. This is a full-time, onsite role in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required; MS a plus.
• 5–10 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer.
• Familiarity with PDOT and LAP project development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual and final design of roadway, highway, and multi-modal solutions including geometry, grading and drainage, and utilities layout.
• Preparation and review of roadway design criteria, calculations, drawings, estimates, and specifications.
• Development of 3D modeling for conceptual roadway alignments.
• Temporary traffic control development.
• Constructability review and development.
• Typical section development and pavement design.
• Preparation of right-of-way and easement plans.

Project Highway Engineer

Pennoni is growing and we have an opening for an experienced ProjectHighway Engineer to join our Transportation team in our Philadelphia,, with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Responsibilities

Duties include highway engineering, stormwater management and drainage design, cost estimating, and report writing.

• Conceptual and final design of roadway, highway, and multi-modal engineering solutions for a variety of transportation-related projects including development of geometric horizontal and vertical layout, grading and drainage design, and utilities layout
• Preparation and review of roadway design criteria, calculations, drawings, estimates, and specifications
• Development of 3D modeling for conceptual roadway alignments
• Temporary traffic control development
• Constructability development and review
• Typical section development and pavement design
• Preparation of right-of-way and easement plans
