Job summary

H&H seeks a Senior Highway Engineer to join its New Jersey Regional Operation to lead roadway and highway design for agencies such as NJDOT and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. The role includes project management and technical leadership, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and multidisciplinary design teams.

A NJ PE license and 10+ years of highway design experience are required. H&H offers competitive salary and strong benefit programs.

Qualifications

Ten years of highway/roadway design experience.
New Jersey Professional Engineer license required.
Familiarity with NJDOT, Turnpike Authority, and AASHTO standards.
Experience with CAD software MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads.
Proficiency with Primavera, Excel, and Word.
Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.
Experience as PM or Roadway Design Team Leader preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering teams in delivery of transportation projects.
Prepare and oversee roadway design plans, calculations, specs, and permitting.
Support projects involving roadway geometry, drainage, safety, and traffic control.
Provide technical QA/QC reviews.
Oversee construction support services, including submittals and RFIs.
Assist with business development and client coordination.
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial performance.
Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams for successful delivery.
