Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer in New York to manage transportation projects, nurture client relationships, and collaborate with market leadership to develop new clients. The role demands a strong technical background and leadership on mid-to-large projects, with NY PE licensure and a track record in transportation management.

Salary range is $150,000–$195,000 per year, and compensation will reflect experience, education, and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required; Master’s degree a plus.
• 15+ years in transportation/project management.
• NY PE license required; additional state licenses a plus.
• Experience on NYSDOT, NYSTA, and Local Federal Aid projects.
• Established relationships within the industry required.
• Strong business development and client liaison skills.
• Demonstrates strong project management qualities and leadership.
• Experience with putting together winning proposals and delivering presentations.

Responsibilities

• Manages and oversees their assigned projects.
• Participates in, and conducts business development activities, including organizing and/or attending meetings with clients.
• Prepares and coordinates proposal efforts to secure work.
• Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure cost-effective execution.
• Acts as primary client liaison to align schedule, budgets and scope with client expectations.
• Develops and enhances key client relationships and serves as a primary company contact.
• Manages and develops junior and mid-level staff.
