Job summary

HNTB Corporation in the United States seeks a Senior Project Engineer to join the highway design team, delivering major conventional and alternative delivery projects with advanced engineering, coordination, preconstruction, and program-level technical activities.

You will lead planning, scope, schedule and budget within the discipline, mentor staff, coordinate with clients and partners, and help bring complex infrastructure projects to fruition across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s in Engineering with 7+ years; or a PhD with 6+ years.

Responsibilities

• Uses senior-level technical expertise to consider broad range of engineering solutions.
• Responsible for the discipline-specific planning, work distribution, leadership and adherence to the schedule and budget on complex projects.
• Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develops scope of work and level of effort and manages adherence to scope and budget on complex projects within the discipline.
• Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline.
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve project objectives.
• Coordinates technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners.
• Leads discipline delivery on larger, multi-disciplinary projects and collaborates with other disciplines.
