Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to coordinate highway and bridge programs for Pennsylvania clients. You will lead project teams, manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and ensure compliance with contract specifications.

Responsibilities include client liaison, risk and change management, proposal development, and mentoring staff while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or relevant degree; 10 years of relevant experience, or 14 years in lieu of education
• Winning, contracting, and delivering 4for4 on PA highway projects
• Identifying and handling risk and change management with guidance from senior staff
• Leading a team on mid-sized/moderately complex projects with sub-consultants
• Experience using project management tools such as ProCore and EBuilder
• Leading implementation of sophisticated processes with minimal assistance
• Serving as lead interface with the client on moderately complex projects
• Developing successors to work with the same client on other work
• Preferred: 12–15 years of relevant experience in heavy highway construction
• PE or CCM preferred
• Experience with PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor field construction administration activities for transportation clients
• Review submittals for conformance to plans and specs
• Oversee project controls, contractor controls, and schedules
• Prepare cost estimates and change orders; negotiate costs
• Mentor team toward project objectives and recruit as needed
• Support business development and client relationships for major projects
