Job summary

Artheon in Neptune is seeking a Senior Office Engineer to oversee highway construction inspection and field operations. You will monitor contractor activity, prepare reports and change orders, and ensure project conformance with plans and specs.

The role requires NICET III Highway Construction, NJ project experience, OSHA 10, and 5+ years in heavy highway/bridge inspection. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering preferred.
• NICET Level III in Highway Construction certification is required.
• ACI, TCC, CCTC, and NJSAT certifications required.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy highway/bridge construction inspection.
• Experience with NJDOT / NJTA projects required.
• OSHA 10-hour safety course is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time-management skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Monitors contractor operations and verifies conformance with project plans and specs.
• Serves as the on-site highway inspector for construction work by contractor and subcontractors.
• Interacts with site supervision to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepares daily reports, correspondence, change orders, and quantity computations.
• Observes work details and documents results with photos.
• Confirms compliance with technical documents and standards.
• Downloads field data and transfers to company server.
• Discusses projects with the project team daily.
• Makes accurate judgments on field activities; may work nights/weekends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
